In context

Georgina vs. surrounding communities

Georgina prices sit well below East Gwillimbury ($1.3M–$1.7M), Newmarket ($1.1M–$1.5M), and every other York Region town, on par with Innisfil ($850K–$1.1M) across Lake Simcoe, and above Beaverton and Sunderland to the east. Buyers moving up from a Keswick townhome routinely land in Sutton for the character; downsizers from Aurora and Newmarket land in Jackson's Point or Willow Beach for the waterfront. The trade against the rest of York Region is commute — no GO station in town, and Highway 404's northern terminus at Ravenshoe Road is a 15-minute drive south for most residents.

Best neighbourhoods in Georgina

  • KeswickGeorgina's largest population centre on Lake Simcoe's southern shore, west of Woodbine. Every subdivision from 1970s bungalows to 2020s executive builds, ROC Recreational Complex, and walkable pockets close to the shoreline. The steady-resale heart of the town.
  • SuttonHistoric downtown village on Georgina's east side, with a heritage main street on High Street, the Georgina Pioneer Village and Archives, and century homes on mature lots. Walkable character with a small-town feel that Keswick doesn't offer.
  • Jackson's PointGeorgina's premier waterfront village on Lake Simcoe. Historic cottages transitioning to four-season homes, waterfront lots with direct lake access, and the Jackson's Point Harbour. Consistently the highest per-square-foot values in the town.
